Temptation

This Russian stout
is rarely seen in the cask. Massive body with liquorice and coffee
flavours mingle with the esters and potency of higher alcohols.
Sanctuary
6.0% abv
A rich
ruby coloured old ale. Smooth and easy with traditional Goldings and
Fuggles hops. Named after the Sanctuary knocker at Durham Cathedral.
Nine
Altars 5.2% abv
Ultra smooth rich
malt notes balanced with Bramling Cross hops to produce a full traditional
English Ale. Low hopping allows a complex malt grist to the fore,
giving full toffee and caramel notes, whilst being fairly dry. Commemorates
the Nine Altars of Durham Cathedral.
Evensong
5.0% abv
Based
on an original recipe from 1937, this deep ruby coloured bitter has

Canny
Lad 4.3% abv
Rich malty scotch
type beer. Six malts make a complex body and ruby colour.
Dark
Secret 4.3% abv
Ruby in colour,
this is a big beer for its strength. Roast and coloured malts give
coffee flavours.
Black
Velvet 4.0% abv
This is black like
a stout but with the strength of a porter. Body is large and smooth,
deceptively fooling the senses into believing it to be much stronger
than it really is. Traditional English hops brightly balance rich
liquorice and roast flavours.
Durham
Ruby 3.7% abv
A traditional ruby
mild with a smooth malty body.
